Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 10, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how ShortPlay Studio collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our script-to-storyboard and AI video production tools.

1. What We Collect

Account and profile information

If you create an account or sign in, we may receive account details such as your email address, account identifier, and basic profile information from our authentication provider.

Project and creative content

We collect the content you submit to the Service, including:

  • scripts, prompts, style directions, and storyboard edits
  • uploaded images, reference assets, and files
  • generated images, generated videos, and final project outputs
  • project titles, workflow settings, and editing history needed to save your work

Billing and transaction information

If you purchase credits or subscriptions, payment and subscription records may be processed and stored by us and our payment providers. We do not store full payment card details on our own servers.

Technical and usage information

We may collect log data and operational information such as IP address, browser and device data, request metadata, task status, generation errors, and usage events needed to run, secure, and improve the Service.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • provide the script-to-storyboard, image generation, and video generation workflow
  • save projects and restore in-progress tasks
  • process purchases, manage credits, and support subscriptions
  • detect abuse, fraud, failures, and service misuse
  • troubleshoot issues and improve product quality, reliability, and model routing
  • communicate essential product, billing, and support messages

3. How Creative Content Is Processed

Your prompts, scripts, uploaded files, and generation parameters may be sent to third-party model or infrastructure providers when needed to complete a request. Generated results may be stored with your project so that you can revisit, edit, or export them later.

We may also store task metadata such as generation status, task identifiers, error messages, timestamps, and output URLs to support recovery, billing reconciliation, and customer support.

4. Third-Party Services

We may share limited data with service providers that help us operate the Service, such as:

  • authentication providers, including Clerk
  • payment providers, including Stripe and PayPal
  • cloud storage and delivery providers used to store or serve uploaded and generated media
  • AI and model inference providers used to analyze scripts and generate images or videos
  • hosting, database, logging, and infrastructure vendors

These providers may process data on our behalf under their own terms and privacy practices.

5. Data Retention

We retain data for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the Service, maintain your projects, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our terms.

In practice, this may include:

  • account and billing records retained for operational, accounting, and legal reasons
  • project data and generated outputs retained until deleted by you, removed under our retention policies, or no longer needed
  • technical logs retained for security, abuse prevention, debugging, and system integrity

Deleting a project or account may not immediately remove all backup or billing records.

6. Your Choices

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • request access to your information
  • request correction of inaccurate information
  • request deletion of certain information
  • object to or restrict some processing

To make a request, contact us at [email protected].

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data, but no system can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for the content you choose to upload.

8. International Processing

The Service may be operated using providers in multiple countries. By using the Service, you understand that your information may be processed and stored outside your local jurisdiction.

9. Children

The Service is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will review the request.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
